Pulau Banyak is
extremely beautiful, however it is not always so easy to organize a tour or
sightseeing to see and experience it. This year several community groups have
been established in order to make it easier for visitors to see and experience
Pulau Banyak. In Haloban one can now do jungle trekking with Green Tuangku. If you like kayaking you
can do it from Haloban with Acropora Kayaking or from P. Balai with Napoleon Kayaking Club. To stay in a
bungalow you can visit Palambak Besar, Sikandang or Tailana. To see turtles
you can visit Pulau Bangkaru for a night with Yayasan Pulau Banyak.
Now we have yet
another attraction to Pulau Banyak: Island Hopping. Go around in the archipelago,
from island to island, beach to beach, reef to reef. Camp on “your own” island,
drink fresh coconut and enjoy a freshly grilled fish. Contact us soon to help you out with information, transportation,
camping and food. We all are the local who know the islands from inside
out.
In Pulau Banyak, as
in the rest of Indonesia, the Guest is the King. This is however not valid on
Pulau Bangkaru where the Turtle is the King. Therefore: to see the turtles can
only be done through YPB.
